2018 Reading Plan (June Update)

Hello everyone,

May was the month of the “home” reads as of the seven books I read, five were ones that I only read at home.  While as the stats below will show that my journey to 45 books is very close to completion, other things aren’t so rosy.

Overall Total: 36 (80%)
Original List: 21 (46.7%)
Total Pages: 11419 (317.2 per book)

While my overall 15 “home” reads so far has–barring accidents–insured that I will successfully complete my book challenge this year, however my original list might be a tad close.  Right now I am on schedule to complete my original list (and surpass it), however given the time I’m taking on St. Augustine’s City of God and how many other long or thought-provoking books I have on the list it’ll be a close run thing.

Another thing about my stats is that my average number of pages per book went down 8 because of the short length of the majority of my books this month. If I add where I’m at in City of God to my stats–12316 pages from 36.82 books–it would be a 334.5 average which would be 8 pages more than last month’s stats, in other words a 17 page swing.

Anyways, I’ll be finished with City of God either Sunday or Monday. In the meantime, I’m reading two books at home.  This weekend I’ll finish and review the third (and last) book of the Adventist Heritage Series by George R. Knight.  My everyday home read is Orbit of Discovery by Don Thomas, about his second mission into space on the shuttle Discovery (STS-70).

So I’ve got nothing else to write about, so see you next month.
